Educated in Blackall (central Queensland) and Rockhampton before he attended university in Townsville and Brisbane where he received science and business qualifications. He is a passionate competitive squash player and is involved in rebuilding the game of Squash in Brisbane. He naturally supports the Queensland State of Origin Rugby League team. Early in 2014, Jeff was instrumental in setting up a charitable foundation to support young melanoma suffers and their families. He enjoys cooking and travel and collecting and making abstract expressionism art.

Jeff is one who thinks outside of the box – he’s innovative, analytical, creative and opportunist, qualities that have been developed over many years as a biomedical researcher with an international reputation.
